WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED ON THE SITE

A. Information You Provide To Us.

To sign up as a registered user of our Services (“Registered User”) and access the User Restricted Areas (as defined in the Terms of Use), you must create a user account and provide certain personal information to us during the registration process, including: your name, your email address and your phone number. We may also collect personal information from you when you (i) provide information about your investment profile, such as income level, return expectations, net worth, investment experience, desired investment term, or areas of investment interest; (ii) engage in a transaction; (iii) sign up to receive communications from us; (iv) contact us; or (v) participate in a Site promotion or survey. We may collect personal information from you when you write a review or otherwise post on the Site. However, we do not ask, and you should not enter, your full name anywhere in your review or other post.

a. Financial Data.

If you choose to use our referral service to invite a friend to the Service, we will ask you for that person’s email address or import your existing contacts, and automatically send an email invitation. RAC stores this information to send this email, to register your friend if your invitation is accepted and to track the success of our invitation service.

B. Information We Collect About Your Interaction with the Site.

We collect additional information about your interaction with the Site without identifying you as a particular individual (“De-identified Information”), by using cookies on our Site. For example, we receive certain standard information that your browser sends to every website you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and language, access times and referring website addresses. We may use De-identified Information for any purpose in our discretion. For clarity, De-identified Information means information that is not associated with or linked to your personally identifiable information and does not reasonably permit the identification of individual persons. We provide an easy way via your online account profile for you to access, correct, update or remove personal information that has previously been provided to us. You can review your personal information and make any necessary changes at any time, by logging in to your Registered User account. Personal information that we collect, access or process will be retained only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which it was collected, unless otherwise provided in agreements between you and us or as required or authorized by law. Personal information that is no longer required to fulfill the identified purposes will be destroyed, erased or de-identified. You may also exercise your rights, subject to applicable law, to request that we delete or restrict access to your personal information. We may need to retain it for legally permitted purposes, and this will be explained to you if necessary.

If you are sharing a computer with anyone you should always log out before leaving a site or service to protect access to your personally identifiable information from subsequent users.

NOTICE TO USERS IN THE EVENT OF A SECURITY BREACH

If a Registered User’s personal information is compromised as the result of a breach of security, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to attempt to notify affected Registered Users directly, or via the Site, of the breach if we determine that the information is sensitive, in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, or as otherwise required by applicable law.

 

 

COOKIES AND LOG DATA

A. Tracking Technologies.

B. Log Files.

Log data collected on web servers supplies us with aggregate information about the number of visits to different pages on our Site. We use such aggregate information to improve access to our content based on our visitors’ browsers and operating system types to make our content available to many users. We do not link the “log data” collected to personally identifiable information submitted by users when participating in our activities. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by RAC and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers. PRIVACY RIGHTS OF CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

California law permits our customers who are California residents to request certain information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year.
